Bloomberg posted an interesting piece today regarding the payday loan tribe – sovereign nation model. I would argue they are not necessarily evading state laws but they are certainly pissing-off a lot of us with substantial investments in our payday loan stores and Internet state-by-state licensing business models :o)

I do not understand why they have a problem with the Sovereign Nation model. Are nor the American Indian Tribes and Tribal land sovereign territory? Thus sub countries inside the USA? Thus not truly governed by US law?
